Mission and Vision at CES

Mission:  Finding our Future-Growing our Leaders

Vision: Calvary Elementary School strives to grow successful, confident, independent, 21st century leaders within a global community.

We Can:

  • Give our best to ourselves and others
  • Gain excellence in our school and community
  • “Goal set” and work to achieve those goals
  • Grow into our full potential and talents
  • Guarantee a safe and loving environment
  • Guide life-long learning and leadership

**Our SBDM Regular Scheduled Meeting will be held on January 2, 2018 at 4:00. All public is invited to attend.

Grading Policy

Thank you to everyone who took time to fill out our grading policy survey. After reviewing and counting each completed survey the community overwhelmingly voted to change our current grading policy to align with the district policy. The Site Base Council will meet this month to vote on this change.

Again, thank you all so much for your input. Calvary Elementary and the community are an incredible team that by working together are able to achieve new heights.

Parent Study Tip of the Month

Reading: Word of the day. Work with your child/children to build their vocabulary. One of the biggest struggles for students as they grow as readers is identifying unknown words. So, lets help them overcome this obstacle by improving their vocabularies.

Math: Relate something your child/children are learning, and relate it to real life. For example: paying for something and getting back the correct change, using angles to build something, figuring out a basketball players free throw percentage, etc. Make this into whatever you would like, but show students how math applies outside of the classroom.

NTI Update

The cold is here, which means snow is on the way. Please make sure your child has the assignments for the first five NTI days. Also, don’t forget there is an online option as well. Simply go to the district site, click on the NTI link, and then find the Calvary link. (Reminder: students can pick between paper assignments or online. STUDENTS DO NO HAVE TO DO BOTH). A one call will go out letting families know if it is an NTI day or regular snow day.

Winterfest

Mark your calendars for February 2 so that you and your family can attend Calvary’s Winterfest. It is going to be a fun filled night!
