Carrie Truitt is a 1996 graduate of Marion County High School. She then earned a B.A. in Arts Administration with a specialty in Music Performance from the University of Kentucky's College of Fine Arts. In 2014, Carrie graduated from Campbellsville University with a master’s in Organizational Leadership.
Carrie’s entire professional career has been spent in the service of others through nonprofit organizations. She has had the pleasure of working at the University of Kentucky, Lexington Philharmonic, Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation, Community Arts Center of Danville, and Arts Council of Mercer County in positions focused on raising funds to support each organization’s mission.
Carrie currently serves as the volunteer manager for Hosparus Green River. Hosparus provides care and support to patients and families facing life limiting illnesses in Adair, Green, Taylor, Washington and Marion counties. As volunteer manager, Carrie oversees a group of generous and committed individuals who give their time and talents to the care of Hosparus clients.
Carrie and her husband, Michael, have been happily married since 2002. They have three beautiful children - Jackson, Samuel and Eleanor.
