I was born in Marion County and attended SCMS myself. Throughout my life I told my mother, who was a teacher, that there was no way I would be a teacher. However, after entering Campbellsville University and trying out a few other career options, it became evident to me that teaching was the path for me. I graduated from CU in 2002 and began teaching in Nelson County. After 3 years there, I went to MCHS for 1 year and then came to SCMS. I have been teaching 6th grade math here for 6 years. I have one daughter, Jacklyn, in kindergarten and 2 stepdaughters, Stephanie and Alice. My husband, Keith, and I enjoy camping, horseback riding, running, and traveling. We live on a farm and raise beef cattle and tobacco. We also have 7 horses, 2 cats, and a dog.
