LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!
Hello! My name is Kandice Spalding and I am a native of Marion County. I am married to Chad Spalding and we have been blessed with a daughter, Maddie. It is a daily focus to try my best to keep my priorities in line.....God first and foremost in everything. I am also blessed to be a part of Lebanon Baptist Church and enjoy leading praise and worship. I am also a part of CREW 3:30, a local Contemporary Christian Band and I enjoy using my gifts and talents for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
My calling in life was clearly placed on my heart when I was in the eighth grade while attending Lebanon Middle School. I remember sitting in chorus class under the direction of Mrs. Donna Tinnell Hedgepeth, one of my all time favorite role models, and daydreaming about how I wanted to one day mold, inspire, and of course teach music to young people.
It is a joy to me to be able to serve so many talented children at Calvary Elementary and Lebanon Elementary, as well as in this community! Throughout my teaching career, I have taught music at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I graduated from Campbellsville University in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a vocal emphasis. Two years later, I earned my Masters Degree in Instructional Leadership at Eastern Kentucky Unvisersity. In November 2011, I obtained my National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Music. I was a part of the 2015 Marion County Public School's Leadership Now Class and have been named a Kentucky Colonel.
