My name is Mrs. Jane Spalding. I am a teacher for Marion County Public Schools. Many of you already know me because I've been around for a while! I was born and raised in Marion County. I'm married to Todd Spalding. We have two college-age daughters. Our oldest, Anne, attends the University of Kentucky College of Law and our youngest, Laura Jo, is a sophomore at the University of Kentucky also. Our family pet is a lovely cat named Albert..
I'm proud to say that I have been teaching in the Marion County Public Schools for 25 years. I have taught at all grade levels from Kindergarten to Fifth grade. I have served on a variety of district and school-based committees at Glasscock Elementary and West Marion Elementary during my teaching tenure.
This year I will take on a new role in district as an elementary consultant for the Gifted and Talented program. I'm excited to get started in this new postion and make every day a great day of learning for children across the district.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do to help you or your child.
